Pathway 1: Complete the Advanced Manufacturing and Workplace Preparation course and immediately enter the workforce.
Pathway 2: Enhance your education and earn an undergraduate certificate in Manufacturing at MSU Denver. The Advanced Manufacturing and Workplace Preparation course can count toward the certificate’s required courses.
Pathway 3: Continue your education with a bachelor’s degree in Advanced Manufacturing Sciences at MSU Denver to gain advanced skills and increase your awareness of the latest systems and innovations in the field.
Alternative Pathway: Through the Colorado Advanced Manufacturing Association (CAMA), you can take an AMSI course and complete 10 hours of online learning to get a paid internship with a duration of 6 weeks, where you’ll have the opportunity to work on a real-world project and apply your new manufacturing skills.
You will learn the “soft skills” required by the manufacturing and production industry, such as leadership, interactive communication, management, and collaboration/teamwork skills, utilizing team exercises and team activities during the process. The course also provides an introduction to Advanced Manufacturing and an overview of the Advanced Manufacturing Sciences (AMS) degree concentration’s fit and associated employment potential within Industry 4.0 and Advanced Manufacturing Industries.
The course is $450, with a $35 transaction fee per payment. There are no books to purchase.
Once you successfully complete the Advanced Manufacturing course, you can immediately enter the workforce with newly learned skills. You will receive a digital badge embedded with the competencies learned. You can include this badge on your resume, LinkedIn page, portfolio, or share it with an employer. Students will also receive a certificate of completion.
