A minor often complements a major. It allows students to expand their major and explore other disciplines. The Department of Health Professions offers several minors.
Aging Services Leadership Minor
The Aging Services Leadership minor assists individuals interested in gaining knowledge pertaining to aging, eldercare, and gerontology. The minor prepares individuals to understand the cultural, physical, and social aspects of aging, along with the aspects of how aging affects populations.

Men’s Health Minor
The Men’s Health program is the first academic program of it’s kind. This program of study addresses the root of ill health for men and boys, during a time in which men are experiencing high rates of chronic disease, addictions and mental health issues, expressed as loss of motivation, substance use, anger and false masculinity.
The curriculum respects diverse cultural values, including the fluidity of gender identification, while providing support toward defining values of healthy masculinity.
Consistent with the mission of MSU Denver, students who follow this pathway, will achieve competency and expertise in transforming the lived experience of men and boys toward whole health, which ultimately contributes to better lives for women, other men, children, animals and the natural world.
