University Advancement is the office of record for MSU Denver alumni information. MSU Denver faculty and staff may request alumni data for official university activities or projects using our online form.
It will be helpful if you know the answers to the following questions as you fill out the request:
1. What is the purpose of your request? How do you intend to use the data?
2. Who is your target audience?
3. Who should be excluded?
4. Will you be soliciting donations?
5. Do you want a separate mailing to go to each spouse/partner in the same household? Or would you like one mailing addressed to the couple together?
Once you know the answers to these questions, you’re ready to request your list. You are welcome to contact our Advancement Services team at [email protected] to discuss your request. We are happy to help you.
To protect the privacy of our constituents, alumni/constituent information released to university officials may not be retained beyond the timeframe for each specified use, nor may the data be copied, reproduced, or distributed to other internal or external parties without specific consent of University Advancement. Faculty and staff may not use information for personal or commercial/third-party use. Additionally, faculty and staff are prohibited from using information obtained from University Advancement for creating or maintaining independent databases. University Advancement regularly updates contact information and maintains an updated master database for alumni and other constituent information. Therefore, faculty and staff agree to destroy the data received within four weeks. If updated data is needed, you are welcome to request a new list.
