What is an Internship?
An internship is a work-based learning experience related to your career goals and can be an important and impactful part of your career journey.
Internships:
- Can be done for electives or required credit (depending on your major)
- Can be paid or unpaid
- Unpaid internships should be done for academic credit to provide you with worker’s compensation coverage
- Can be done full-time or part-time
- Can be done at public, private, non-profit, or government organizations
- Are great for clarifying your career goals, enhancing classroom learning with on-the-job experience, building your resume, acquiring skills, and creating your professional network

At the C2 Hub, we work with various platforms to post the most up-to-date internships and jobs. Some of those resources can be found below!
Career Link
One of the first places where you should look for internships or jobs is Career Link. And remember: Career Link is more than just a job board…it’s a career management system designed to help you connect with employers interested in hiring MSU Denver students and alumni.
Parker Dewey Micro-Internships
The Classroom to Career Hub is excited to partner with Parker Dewey to offer micro-internships to students. A micro-internship is a short-term project that can be completed within 5-40 hours, typically due within a week to a month. These projects require no onboarding and can be completed with minimal instruction. These are important but low-risk tasks that can be completed either on-site or remotely.
NOTE: These opportunities are not eligible for academic credit.
