Student Government: The Student Advocacy Council (SG: TSAC) is a board of student leaders at MSU Denver that are committed to the advancement and advocacy of students. Council members utilize all means necessary for the incorporation of students into the university experience and are the governing body that shares responsibility with the administration to bring about changes.

SG: TSAC appoints councilors to serve on numerous committees in the university. Some of these committees deal with aspects of student life, such as the student activity fee committee through the Student Affairs Board. Other committees deal with the planning and development of the University, affairs that affect the Auraria Campus, sustainability, admissions and standards, etc…

Our Mission: To support the evolving needs of the MSU Denver students, by advocating in their best interests to enhance the university experience and opportunities.

Come visit our office (Tivoli 307) from 10am – 5pm, and let us know how we can better serve MSU Denver students.

Statement on Conflicts in Gaza

We, the elected MSU Denver students who are members of Student Government: The Student Advocacy Council (SG: TSAC), collectively extend our heartfelt concern and sadness to our campus community, with family and friends who may be directly affected by violence occurring in wars across the globe; particularly those who are caught up in the crisis in Gaza. TSAC appreciates the heavy toll this conflict is taking on Israeli and Palestinian students and their supporters, and ask while on campus that each person exhibits tolerance toward others.

It is important to remember that, as students, we are part of a tertiary learning environment at MSU Denver and the wider Auraria campus so as to be effective in our chosen careers. Each of us should expect to enjoy equal freedom of learning without attacking others’ personal, religious, and cultural beliefs or condemning their national identity. This is a protection that we, as United States citizens and Visa holders, are entitled. We believe that the First Amendment does not protect behavior on campus that crosses the line into targeted harassment or threats, or that creates a pervasively hostile environment for vulnerable students.

If you feel vulnerable or at-risk for any reason and need a place to share your concerns, the Student Care Center invites walk-ins with or without appointments in Tivoli, Rm. 311 or phone 303-615-0006. If you would like to refer someone you feel needs attention or help, you can talk to a case worker there to check in on a student you feel needs it.
